Every OFW dreams of going home someday.
But can I ask you a difficult question?
What happens after you board that flight?
For years, I thought going home was the finish line.
Looking back, I realized it was actually the beginning of another journey.
Like many OFWs, I spent years working hard, sending money home, and believing that everything would eventually fall into place.
But life has a way of changing our plans.
When I returned to the Philippines, I wasn't looking for a luxurious life.
I simply wanted peace of mind.
I wanted to know that if one source of income disappeared, my son and I would still be okay.
That realization changed the way I looked at work.
I stopped asking,
"How can I earn more?"
Instead, I started asking,
"How can I build a life that doesn't depend on just one
paycheck?"
That's the question behind North Star.
North Star isn't just a website.
It isn't just a collection of ebooks.
It's a place where I share the lessons I wish someone had shared with me while I was still working abroad.
Not because I have all the answers.
But because I know what it feels like to start over.
If one story helps another single mom prepare a little earlier…
If one ebook encourages an OFW to learn a new skill…
If one article reminds someone that it's never too late to begin…
Then North Star has already served its purpose.
I don't expect anyone's life to change overnight.
Mine didn't.
But I believe small steps matter.
One new skill.
One extra income stream.
One better financial decision.
One story that changes the way you think.
Sometimes that's all it takes to begin rebuilding a different future.
And maybe that's why I keep writing.
Because somewhere, another OFW single mom is wondering if she's too late.
I hope she finds North Star before life forces her to start over.

North Star PH is where I share honest stories about rebuilding, creating additional income streams, and preparing for the future-one coffee conversation at a time.
